Nano Server – Windows Server 2016

Three main edition of windows server 2016 includes datacenter, standard, essential and in these three editions we have three installation option one is server with Desktop experience another is server core (core installation removes the local client UI) and Nano server (designed to be remotely administered). Nano server is designed to run the services.
Nano server has no GUI and no command prompt and no 32bit support and it must be remotely managed. Just like server core, make sure that Nano is supported by your back up, anti-viruses and any other infrastructure application you want to use with Nano
Nano server is improved or we can say refactored version of windows server. The Nano server operating system is released in windows server 2016 and it has been designed and optimized for private clouds and datacenter. It is designed for fewer patch and update events, faster restarts, better resource utilization and tighter security
Nano Server mainly focuses on two scenarios:
1)Born-in-the-cloud applications – support for multiple programming languages and runtimes. (e.g. C#, Java, Node.js, Python, etc.) running in containers, virtual machines, or on physical servers.
2)Microsoft Cloud Platform infrastructure – support for compute clusters running Hyper-V and storage clusters running Scale-out File Server.
